BREAKING: WNBA Legend Drop another Heartfelt Message to Caitlin Clark just now

September 15, 2024

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever dropped back to a .500 record after a 78-74 defeat by the Las Vegas Aces on Friday night. The Aces completed their sweep of the Fever, winning all four matchups in the 2024 WNBA season. Despite the loss, Clark made a notable impact.

With just under five minutes left in the second quarter, she assisted Kelsey Mitchell on a tough floater, marking her 317th assist of the season and surpassing Alyssa Thomasโ€™s previous record of 316 assists. Later that evening, Los Angeles Sparks icon Lisa Leslie praised Clark’s performance on X, saying, “Caitlin Clark, you continue to amaze me! Congratulations again!! The record books are in trouble for sure.”

Clark ended the game with nine assists, bringing her season total to 321. While Thomas needed the full 40-game season to set her record in 2023, Clark achieved it in just 38 games. Throughout her rookie season, Clark has shattered numerous records, including becoming the first rookie in league history to record two triple-doubles and holding the single-game assist record with 19, set on July 17 against the Dallas Wings.

Lisa Leslie, who spent her entire career with the Sparks from 1997 to 2009, led her team to back-to-back WNBA championships in 2001 and 2002 and won three WNBA MVP awards. She was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.
